We hope you are doing well and staying healthy. As summer starts its eventual fade into the sunset, we are excited to share some remarkable highlights and upcoming events that are sure to resonate with our community.


Foundation Spotlight

LGBTQ+ Housing Grant Program

In this section, we shine a spotlight on one of our key focus areas and highlight the initiatives we are supporting. Our newest initiative is the LGBTQ+ Housing Grant Program. This grant program is a transformative initiative dedicated to providing crucial financial support to individuals needing safe and inclusive housing options for the LGBTQ+ community. This program aims to address the specific housing disparities faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, empowering them to live authentically and without fear of discrimination or homelessness.

Through the LGBTQ+ Housing Grant Program offered by The Swingle Family Foundation, eligible individuals can access funding to secure short-term housing. At the same time, they get back on their feet from being recently unhoused.

We are getting closer to officially launching this and helping our community. We need your help. Each gift donated through our housing program donation page is dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ housing crisis. Together, we can build a future where LGBTQ+ individuals can access safe, affirming, and inclusive housing options, ensuring they can thrive and contribute to vibrant communities. Join us in making a lasting impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals through the power of secure and supportive housing.

A Warm Welcome to Darcie Swingle: New Addition to Our Board


We are thrilled to introduce Darcie Swingle as the newest member of The Swingle Family Foundation's board. Darcie brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to our team. With her insights and expertise, we are confident in our collective ability to make meaningful strides toward positive change in our community.


Recent Events Recap

On June 21, we had the pleasure of participating in Phillipsburg Library’s 100th Anniversary celebration. We engaged with members of our New Jersey community and celebrated a fantastic organization's past, present, and future.

We are overjoyed by the resounding success of the 1st Annual Slate Belt Pride event back on July 22nd. The day was filled with vibrant energy, inclusivity, and a strong sense of community. From the colorful displays to the engaging vendors and performances, the event truly embodied the spirit of togetherness. We sincerely thank everyone who came out and spoke with us about our mission, and we thank the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce for planning this fantastic event. We cannot wait for next year!

Upcoming Events

Come out to celebrate Pride and interact with The Swingle Family Foundation at upcoming events:

Lehigh Valley Pride: Come out and celebrate the 30th anniversary of Lehigh Valley Pride at a new location: the SteelStacks in Southside Bethlehem! Pride runs from 2p-8:30p on August 20. Fun times will be had by all at the Valley’s longest-running and largest Pride event!

Easton Garlic Fest: Eat, drink, and stink! Join us at Easton Garlic Fest on October 7 & 8 from 10am-6pm as we celebrate all things garlic. We can’t wait to see our community come out, enjoy the beautiful city of Easton, and see all of your smiling faces as we promote our mission to help out the LGBTQ+ community of the Lehigh Valley.

Other Updates

We were extremely humbled by the opportunity we had to be the recipient of a Pride Month fundraiser. Biopharma company ThermoFisher Scientific’s Pittsburgh office held its annual fundraiser for LGBTQ+ nonprofits, and The Swingle Family Foundation was 2023’s recipient! The money raised goes towards building our programs like the housing initiative.
