The Swingle Family Foundation Newsletter

Edition 3 | November 2023

Hello, Friends of The Swingle Family Foundation,

Happy Thanksgiving! The holidays are upon us (even though the best one, in Andrew’s opinion, Halloween, has already passed). Here are some updates from our nonprofit.

Foundation Spotlight

A Warm Welcome to Holly Walls Grom: New Addition to Our Board

We are sad to announce that our board member, Stacy Payne, has decided to leave our board to focus on family life. She has been a wonderful asset to our organization as a founding member, and we can’t thank her enough for all she’s done to get the nonprofit off the ground.

We are thrilled to introduce Holly Walls Grom as our newest member of The Swingle Family Foundation's board. Holly brings culture and knowledge, and with her fresh point of view, we are confident we can continue to influence our community positively.

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It is part of a global movement to help people give back to the organizations that make a difference in their communities and the world. This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to contribute to The Swingle Family Foundation, a dedicated educational resource supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Your donation will help us continue our mission of helping evicted LGBTQ+ youth, expanding access to free STI & HIV testing, and educating the community.

Recent Event Recap

On October 7 & 8, we had the pleasure of being part of Easton’s Garlic Fest. It was a stinkin’ blast getting to connect with our community in Easton and lay more grassroots in our own backyard. It was truly humbling to hear the stories you all had for us and how our services will benefit the community. We created an event exclusive pin as well and donated the remainder of them to the Garlic Fest volunteers. A big thank you to Jo Moranville for having us, and we can’t wait for next year!

Upcoming Events

We are in the process of planning some fundraising events for the lead-up to the 2024 Pride Season! We have a few fun ideas in mind, but if you have any ideas or suggestions for an event you would like to see us organize, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Other Updates

We are seeking sponsorships for 2024! All that we do would not be possible without help from our sponsors. This past year, we were supported by Studio DNA LLC, a local LGBTQ+-owned photo booth and photography company, and we are thankful for their support. We have big ambitions that can be achieved with more support. If you or anyone you know wants to sponsor local nonprofits, please use this link to sponsor us!
